5/6/2011 · Martin Berkhan of leangains.com recommends intermittent fasting pretty much every day with an eating window that is generally 8 hours. However I've read one of the books he recommends on his website by Brad Pilon titled "Eat Stop Eat" which goes into a lot of the studies done on IF.

If you are new to leangains I would highly recommend that you do ‘body-recomposition’ macros (or slightly less) for the month first while you adjust to the system. This way you will keep your abs and have a base-line for increasing your macros after.

3/20/2012 · It is kind of hard to adapt to eating the intermittent fasting way but you get used to it and honeslty its been working fine So far the strength/size gains have been good but I feel I'm to heavy (95KG at 6"1 foot). So I'm looking into a cut option end of March or a Slow Body Recomposition approach (research mode at the moment).
In a nutshell, it is fasting for 24 hours, 1-2x /week, with no set schedule for which days. You just do it when its convenient. Brad advertises this more for weight loss than for body recomposition like Martin, but I see no reason why it can't be used for either or.
